BZFlag for MAC
Free, open-source multiplayer 3D tank battle game for Mac: capture the flag, free for all and rabbit chase with super flags, lasers and guided missiles.
BZFlag Overview
BZFlag is a free multiplayer 3D tank battle game. You drive a tank in first person and fight other players on online servers, either with your team (Red, Green, Blue or Purple) or as a rogue that can shoot anyone. Game modes include Capture the Flag, where teams steal enemy flags and bring them back to their own base, Free For All, Open Free For All and Rabbit Chase, where every hunter goes after one rabbit.
Flags scattered around the map give your tank super powers: wings to jump in mid-air, lasers that fire across the whole map, guided missiles that follow their target, or shots that go through walls. Bad flags do the opposite, such as jamming your radar or reversing your controls, until a timer runs out or you find an antidote. A radar shows tanks and shots around you, and you can register a callsign on the BZFlag forums. BZFlag has been developed since 1993 and is open source under the LGPL 2.1 or MPL 2.0 license. Version 2.4.30 is a universal build for Apple Silicon and Intel, signed and notarized, and needs macOS 10.13 or later. You need an internet connection to play on public servers.
